Dr. Randy Bernabe is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, BIRMINGHAM HIP RESURFACING, OXFORD PARTIAL KNEE REPLACEMENT, minimally invasive hip replacement using the ANTERIOR APPROACH, arthroscopic surgery, shoulder surgery and rotator cuff repair.
Dr. Bernabe is one of the few orthopedic surgeons in California who performs the minimally invasive hip replacement using the anterior approach. This approach offers the patient a smaller incision, less blood loss, faster rehabilitation, and earlier return to activities. Dr. Bernabe also helps train other surgeons on how to perform this surgery.
Dr. Bernabe is also an expert in partial or unicompartamental knee replacement using the Oxford prosthesis. This minimally invasive artificial knee allows greater mobility with less trauma to surrounding tissues.
Dr. Bernabe is the only surgeon in Kings, Tulare, and Kern counties certified by the FDA to perform the Birmingham Hip resurfacing, designed to treat advanced hip arthritis in young active patients who are not candidates for a full replacement. |
